Come join me on the photographer's adventure of a
lifetime! Iceland is a unique, world of wonders and the West
Fjords region or Vestfirdir is the most spectacular and remote
region. Having recently returned from last year's West Fjords
adventure, I can say without a doubt that you will experience
and photograph a landscape of your dreams. This is not a workshop
- no class time,
no critiques - just some serious, intensive exploring and shooting
in what I truly believe to be the most wonderful and pristine
place on earth to photograph.

The
complete Itinerary
is now online with the payment schedule. The trip includes multiple night stays
in several areas of the remote West Fjords region and will offer
almost endless photographic possibilities. Add to that the time
of year we will be traveling. In September the days are
shortening , but still give a long twilight that bathes the landscape
in an otherworldly light.
Iceland as you may know is not an
inexpensive place to visit, even with the recent financial
troubles. Practically all things are imported
and resources are few making everyday items a bit more than you
may be used to. However, traveling as a group we will be able to
condense some of these costs making it less expensive for each
person on average. The per person cost is based on a minimum
of 8 travelers. Steep I know, but consider that traveling alone, I have
averaged about 4500.00 - 5,000.00 per trip! You will also be taken to some of
the most incredible places in Iceland to photograph without
worry of bookings, car rentals, long drives and the general road
bumps that can get in your way when visiting an unfamiliar
country. I've been traveling to Iceland for nearly 10 years
now and I am well versed in the places and times you'll need to
be to do some memorable work.
Total Cost of the trip for a US traveler is $3750.00 and includes
all of the following:
- Roundtrip airfare from Boston to Reykjavik*
- All transfers and transportation in country
- Private room each night (with private bath in most cases)
- Breakfast each morning
- Hotel dinner each night unless otherwise noted.
*Those coming from Europe and elseware will be charged a pro-rated fee
of $3250.00 US and will be responsible for travel into Iceland where we
will meet at Keflavik Airport. Those coming from Europe have to
arrive earlier and your night's hotel and airport transfer is
included.
All other costs- Spirits, lunches, munchies and food on the road
will be the responsibility of each participant.
The trip is limited to 8 people
and space is on a first come basis. There has been a lot of
interest in this trip and I expect it will fill quickly so, if
seriously interested, I urge to register as soon as possible at
the following link. A $100.00 deposit is required at this time,
With another $650.00 due on or before April 15, 2010. If you're
signing up, you must be serious about following through as the
initial deposit is refundable only until the 15th of
April.
I hope you will join me!
